1. Who we are

lottoterminal.ca (“we”, “us”, “our”) is a Canadian entertainment website that provides smart-pick tools, statistical analysis, and educational content about Canadian lotteries. We do not sell tickets and are not affiliated with OLG, WCLC, Loto-Québec, BCLC, or ALC.

2. Information we collect

  • Account data: email address, hashed password, display name.
  • Cosmic profile (optional): birth date, birth time, birth city — only if you choose to enter them for personalized picks.
  • Usage data: pages viewed, picks generated, device type, approximate location (from IP), browser language.
  • Subscription data: plan, status, and renewal date. Payment details are processed by our payment provider — we never see or store your full card number.

3. How we use your information

  • To generate and save personalized number picks.
  • To deliver alerts you’ve opted into (e.g. jackpot rollovers).
  • To operate, secure, and improve the service.
  • To comply with legal obligations and prevent fraud.

4. Legal basis (PIPEDA)

We rely on your consent for optional data (cosmic profile, marketing emails) and on legitimate interest for operating the service securely. You can withdraw consent at any time from your account settings.

5. Sharing

We share data only with: (a) processors who run the service on our behalf (hosting, email, payments) under written agreements, (b) authorities when legally compelled, and (c) a successor entity in the event of a merger or sale. We never sell your personal information.

6. Retention

Account data is kept while your account is active and for up to 12 months after deletion for audit and fraud-prevention. Anonymized usage data may be retained indefinitely for analytics.

7. Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information. Email privacy@lottoterminal.ca and we will respond within 30 days.

8. Security

Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. Passwords are hashed with industry-standard algorithms. No system is perfectly secure — please use a strong, unique password.

9. Children

The service is for adults of legal lottery age in their province — 18+ in Alberta, Manitoba, Quebec, and Ontario; 19+ in BC, Saskatchewan, Atlantic Canada, and the territories. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.

10. Changes

We’ll post material updates on this page and, where appropriate, notify you by email. Continued use after changes means you accept the revised policy.
